28 January 2026
18:00 – 20:30 PM CEST
The Hague Humanity Hub
Join us for a thought-provoking evening organised in collaboration with Human Rights in The Picture, and The Hague Humanity Hub.
On 28 January, we will screen our documentary Guardian Gaia, which highlights the risks environmental lawyers face in their daily work. These lawyers represent marginalized communities in cases involving oil exploitation, deforestation, wildlife trafficking, mining, and other environmental harms. By holding powerful economic actors accountable, they often become targets themselves. The documentary sheds light on their work under challenging conditions, often with limited resources and in isolation, while facing increasing threats of physical attacks, harassment, and intimidation from state actors, organized crime, and other hostile groups.
We invite you to join us for an evening of discussion and reflection on climate justice, environmental protection, and human rights.
This screening is part of the About Just Peace Movie Night series, an initiative that brings stories of peace and justice to life in The Hague, offering space to explore important issues together through storytelling and cinema.
