The present document consists of a letter dated from the Permanent Representative of Turkey to the United Nations Office at Geneva addressed to the High Commissioner for Human Rights concerning the situation of Mr Ocalan. In this case Principle 22 of the Basic Principles on the Role of Lawyers was violated by the Turkish government.
