In April, L4L received an answer (original, translation) from the Russian National Office of the Public Prosecution Service to its letter dated 21 January 2009 concerning the assassination of the Russian lawyer Markelov. The letter states that the Public Prosecutor of Moscow has filed a criminal case based on article 105 paragraph 1, article 30 paragraph 3sub a and article 105 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian federation.
