Independence and impartiality of the judiciary, jurors and assessors and the independence of lawyers
This resolution follows the report submitted by the Special Rapporteur on the implementation of his mandate( E/CN.4/1995/39). In this report the UN Commission on Human Rights refers to the Basic Principles on the Role of Lawyer’s in the light of strengthening the independence of the judiciary and the protection of practising lawyers.
