In the present letter of the lawyers Rights Watch Canada, the LRWC joins with the Finucane family and other interveners to demand that the United Kingdom government immediately institute an inquiry under the Tribunals of Inquiry (Evidence) Act of 1921 (“1921 Act”) into the 1989 murder in Northern Ireland of lawyer Patrick Finucane. It refers to a violation of the Basic Principles on the Role of Lawyers.
