The present document of Amnesty International concerns a briefing on the draft Law revising some articles of the Law to Fight Terrorism [Law 3713 of 12/4/1991] presented to the Turkish parliament on 18 April 2006. Amnesty is concerned that some provisions contravene international human rights law, especially in the context of anti-terrorism. Amnesty refers to several violations of the Basic Principles on the Role of Lawyers.
