The present document of Lawyers Rights Watch Canada (LRWC) discusses key aspects of the current state of the rule of law in Singapore: the ability of citizens to participate in the selection of governments; the independence of the judiciary; and independence of the bar and the ability of lawyers to advocate for their clients. LRWC refers to the Basic Principles on the Role of Lawyers with regard to the status of the rule of law in Singapore.
