In a joint letter to the Supreme Court of Myanmar, Lawyers for Lawyers and Lawyers’ Rights Watch Canada (LRWC) called upon the Supreme Court of Myanmar to restore the licenses of 32 lawyers. Revoking the licenses is not compatible with the international standards Myanmar is bound to. Lawyers for Lawyers and LRWC remind the Supreme court of Myanmar of its obligations under, inter alia, the Basic Principles on the Role of Lawyers.
