International law associations have sent a joint letter to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan calling on him and the Turkish government to ensure and safeguard the independence of the legal profession on the occasion of the Day of the Lawyer in Turkey. The letter also underlined the fact that Turkey is in breach of its international law obligations.
