The present report of Amnesty International provides details of the current human rights situation in NAD, Indonesia. The second part of the report focuses on the situation for Acehnese refugees in Malaysia. Recommendations are provided to both the Indonesian and Malaysian governments, as well as to the United Nations (UN) and second governments which, if implemented, would contribute to reducing the suffering of the Acehnese people. Amnesty refers to the several violations of the Basic Principles on the Role of Lawyers with regard to the right to a fair trial.
