The present document concerns Amnesty International’s comments on the draft law implementing the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Amnesty states that there is a broad range of international standards concerning the right to fair trial which should be incorporated in DRC law. One of these international standards concerns the Basic Principles on the Role of Lawyers.
