The present document of the Council of Europe comments on the draft guidelines on human rights and the fight against terrorism. Amnesty International recommends inclusion of a specific prohibition of interference with the right to confidential communications between lawyers and their clients within the bounds of their professional relationship, as set out in the Basic Principles on the Role of Lawyers.
