In the present document ten human rights organisations write to the president of the Syrian Bar Association and the president of the Damascus section of the Syrian Bar Association to express their deep concerns at the disciplinary trial before the Syrian Bar Association of Mr. Muhannad Al-Hassani, a prominent Syrian lawyer and human rights defender.The human rights defenders refer to several violations of the Basic Principles on the Role of Lawyers in the light of practising the legal profession without harassment.
