The present report of the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) concerns a study on the application of capital punishment in Iran, particularly executions are highlighted. The FIDH states that the denial of defendants’ right to a lawyer and direct condemnation of lawyers doing their job violate the Basic Principles on the Role of Lawyers.
