The present document of the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ) concerns the situation of justice in the Democratic Republic of Congo during and after the enactment of the new Constitution of 1998. The ICJ refers to a violation of the Basic Principles on the Role of Lawyers in the context of a case of two lawyers who were prosecuted in that time.
