The present document of Amnesty International concerns the issue of torture in Nepal. According to Amnesty international the country still lacks a domestic statutory provision under which those responsible for torture can be brought to justice. Amnesty International refers to the Basic Principles on the Role of Lawyers with regard to the issue of security of lawyers.
