In the current document, Amnesty International makes recommendations to the Togolese authorities and to all players in the inter-Togolese dialogue so that they can actively contribute to ending impunity which has reigned for three decades in Togo. Amnesty International urges the reforming and strengthening of the judicial system so that it is impartial and independent and so that it can attend to respect for human rights, in accordance with the principles of the Basic Principles on the Role of Lawyers.
