The present report of the Special Rapporteur on the independence of judges and lawyers concerns the situation of the independence of judges, prosecutors and lawyers, the organization and functioning of the judiciary and of the legal profession, acces to justice and legal aid in Bulgaria. It also examines trhe issue of fair trial in the country. The Special Rapporteur invites the government to raise the key values of the Basic Principles on the Role of Lawyers.
