Lawyers for Liberty urges the police of Kuala Lumpur to cease their sedition investigation on three legal practitioners over their motion at the Malaysian Bar annual general meeting (AGM) on Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali. This investigation would interfere with the right of a lawyer to uphold justice without fear and favour and therefore affect the public. LFL executive director Eric Paulsen explicitly refers to Art. 16 of the UN Basic Principles on the Role of Lawyers.
